Serving Metro Vancouver from Abbotsford
Our office is at Unit 312, 34334 Forrest Terrace, Abbotsford, BC V2S 1G7. To be clear: Waymark does not have a Vancouver office. We are an Abbotsford practice that works with clients throughout Metro Vancouver — Vancouver, Burnaby, Richmond, Surrey, Coquitlam, New Westminster, Delta, Langley and the North Shore — mainly by phone and video, with the option of meeting in person in Abbotsford.
Distance matters less than it used to. Immigration files are built from documents, and documents move electronically: forms are completed and signed digitally, evidence is uploaded to a secure folder, and applications are submitted through IRCC's online portals. What actually determines the outcome is whether the right program was chosen and the file was assembled properly — not whether your consultant's office is a SkyTrain ride away.
If you do want to come out, Abbotsford is roughly an hour east of Vancouver along Highway 1 outside of peak traffic, and considerably longer during rush hour.
How Remote Consultations Work
A remote consultation covers exactly what an in-person one would. We go through your immigration and travel history, your education and work background, your family situation and your goals, then set out the options that are genuinely open to you, the evidence each would require, and what we would recommend doing first. You get the same advice from a licensed consultant, without taking half a day off work.
After the consultation, document collection, form preparation, review and submission all happen electronically. We keep you updated as the file moves. The only things that reliably require an in-person visit are sworn documents — statutory declarations, invitation letters and travel consent letters must be signed in front of a Commissioner for Taking Affidavits, which we can also handle at our Abbotsford office.
BC PNP for Metro Vancouver Workers and Graduates
The BC Provincial Nominee Program is often the most direct provincial route to permanent residence for people already living and working in Metro Vancouver. Its Skills Immigration categories are built around a connection to a British Columbia employer, and there are separate streams for skilled workers, health authority employees, international graduates of Canadian institutions, and entry-level and semi-skilled workers in certain sectors. Entrepreneur Immigration is a separate track for people investing in and actively managing a BC business.
Two areas are especially relevant to this region. Technology occupations have been prioritized within Skills Immigration for several years, reflecting the concentration of software, gaming and digital media employers in Vancouver, Burnaby and Richmond. Health care is the other: a dedicated health authority pathway exists for people employed by a BC health authority, including roles that would not otherwise qualify.
Eligibility criteria, invitation priorities and which streams are open change from year to year, and the province adjusts them regularly. We check the current rules against official BC PNP and IRCC sources before advising you. Work Permits, LMIAs and Employer Support
Metro Vancouver employers hire internationally across technology, health care, hospitality, construction, logistics and film. We advise both workers and employers on work permits: employer-specific permits, open permits including spousal open work permits, post-graduation work permits, intra-company transfers, and permits available under international agreements without a labour market test.
Where a Labour Market Impact Assessment is required, we help employers work through recruitment and advertising obligations, wage requirements and the supporting documentation Employment and Social Development Canada expects, and then help the worker with the permit application that follows. Requirements here shift frequently, particularly around wage thresholds and eligible occupations, so we verify the current position before starting rather than assuming last year's rules still apply.
Study Permits, Sponsorship and Temporary Status
Metro Vancouver's universities and colleges draw students from around the world, and the questions that follow are always the same: how to get the study permit approved, how to extend it, what to do when changing institutions, and how to move into a post-graduation work permit and then permanent residence. We work through that sequence with students and their families.
We also handle family sponsorship — spouses and partners inside and outside Canada, dependent children, and parents and grandparents, with super visas as an interim route — as well as visitor visas, extensions and restoration of status, and citizenship applications once the residency requirement is met. Because our lead consultant is an RCIC-IRB, we can also represent clients in matters before the Immigration and Refugee Board, including appeals and hearings.

Do you have an office in Vancouver?
No. Waymark Immigration operates from a single office in Abbotsford, at Unit 312, 34334 Forrest Terrace. We serve clients throughout Metro Vancouver remotely, by phone and video, and in person for those willing to make the drive — roughly an hour east along Highway 1 outside of peak traffic. Nothing about the process requires you to be physically near your consultant.
Can a Vancouver client handle everything remotely?
In almost all cases, yes. Consultations happen by phone or video, forms are signed digitally, supporting documents are uploaded securely, and applications go through IRCC's online portals. The exception is sworn documents: statutory declarations, invitation letters and travel consent letters must be signed in person in front of a commissioner. We can commission those at our Abbotsford office, or you can use a commissioner or notary closer to home.
Is the BC PNP a realistic option if I work in Vancouver?

Can you represent me at the Immigration and Refugee Board?
Yes. Our lead consultant, Arshdeep Singh Brar, is an RCIC-IRB, which authorizes representation before the Immigration and Refugee Board — the tribunal that deals with matters such as appeals, admissibility hearings and detention reviews. Not every immigration consultant holds that authorization. If your matter is heading to the Board, tell us early, because timelines for these proceedings are strict and evidence takes time to assemble.
