Express Entry Draw Predictions 2026: Latest CRS Trends & ITA Forecasts

Where Express Entry CRS cutoffs are heading in 2026, draw frequency, category-based selection patterns, French-language priorities, and what scores to target for an ITA.

📅 December 15, 2025 · ✍️ Waymark Immigration, RCIC R1034253

IRCC’s 2024–2026 Immigration Levels Plan reduced overall permanent resident targets, including for federal economic streams. That, combined with category-based selection and increased PNP allocations, is shaping Express Entry draws in 2026.

Where CRS is heading

  • All-program general draws: CRS 510–540 range expected through most of 2026.
  • CEC-specific draws: likely 510–530, slightly lower than all-program because of the strong PGWP holder pipeline.
  • French-language draws: consistently 380–420, the lowest-CRS category by a wide margin.
  • Healthcare, STEM, Trades, Transport, Agriculture: category-based, typically 430–510.
  • PNP draws: 700+ (since each candidate has +600 from nomination).

Draw frequency in 2026

IRCC has been holding 2–3 draws per week alternating between general, CEC, PNP, and category-based selection. This pace is expected to continue.

How to target an ITA

If your CRS is below 500 and your profile expires within 12 months:

  1. Improve language, retake IELTS/CELPIP/TEF aiming for CLB 9+ in all four abilities.
  2. Add French, even modest French (NCLC 7) opens up the lowest-CRS category.
  3. Get PNP-nominated, adds 600 points, virtually guaranteeing an ITA.
  4. Add Canadian work experience, moves you into CEC and adds 35–70 points.
  5. Verify your NOC, being classified under a category-eligible NOC unlocks lower thresholds.
